Bahia → São Paulo - Disciple of Mestre Bimba - Mestre of Gladson and Assanhaço - Founder of the FPC

Airton Neves Moura, known in capoeira as Mestre Onça Braba, was born on March 21, 1935, in Bahia. A direct disciple of Mestre Bimba, he trained in the Capoeira Regional tradition during a decisive period for the expansion of the art. His technical strength, discipline and commitment to Bimba's style made him one of the most respected names of his generation.

When he migrated to São Paulo, he became one of the pillars of Capoeira Regional in the state. He was mestre to important figures such as Mestre Gladson and Mestre Assanhaço, profoundly influencing the São Paulo lineage of the style.

On July 10, 1974, he took part in the founding of the Federação Paulista de Capoeira, consolidating capoeira's institutional presence in the Southeast and contributing to its organization, regulation and dissemination in sports and cultural circles.

Mestre Onça Braba died on June 1st, 1991, 33 years ago. His legacy lives on in the memory of his students, in the mestres he trained and in the history of Capoeira Regional in São Paulo.
