Biography:

Claudival da Costa, the late Mestre Cosmo, was certified as a capoeira master in 1996 by Mestre Miguel Machado, head of the Cativeiro Group. Cosmo was born on July 28, 1955, in Piracicaba, and died prematurely on April 26, 2004, at the age of 48, victim of a massive heart attack.
