Mestre Marrom founded the academy grupo Acupe in Salvador. He was a great master of Capoeira Angola, an encourager who greatly contributed to the growth of Capoeira Angola in the process of providing education to children in the outskirts of Salvador. He was a great motivator in bringing back the old mestres: valuing and encouraging them to visit the rodas at Forte Santo Antônio, like the roda of Mestre Moraes and João Pequeno.
