Mestre Marrom started capoeira in 1978, at the age of 8. Together with his father, Mestre Baixinho, and his uncles, he founded the Irmãos Guerreiros Group in 1983, and today he is in charge of its activities, teaching classes, coordinating capoeira circles, events, workshops and other projects that take place at Senzalinha and at the Group's other centers in the city of São Paulo. He graduated in Physical Education in 2012 and also teaches capoeira and physical education in schools.
