Our History

The Grupo Libertação de Capoeira was founded in 2001 by Mestre Chocolate, a renowned capoeirista with extensive experience in Brazil and Europe. His passion for capoeira and commitment to teaching led him to create a space to share the values and richness of this martial art with people of all ages and levels.​

Our Philosophy

For our Grupo Libertação, Capoeira is much more than a sport or a dance. It is a way of life that promotes respect, discipline, creativity, and connection with oneself and with others. In our classes, you will not only learn the movements and the music, but also the philosophy and history behind this rich cultural tradition.​

What We Offer

Regular classes: For children, teenagers, and adults, from beginners to advanced students. We adapt our teaching to each level and learning pace.​

Events and workshops: We organize rodas, batizados (graduation ceremonies), gatherings, and special workshops with national and international guests.​

Instructor training: We offer training for those who wish to become capoeira teachers and share their passion with others.​

Complementary activities: In addition to the classes, we carry out activities such as live music, percussion, acrobatics, and traditional Brazilian games.​
