Trevor’s journey in Capoeira began in the early 1990s when he became a student of Mestre João Grande, a pivotal moment that would shape his life and his path in the art.

From the beginning, Trevor’s approach to Capoeira was distinct, marked by a profound understanding of the art’s philosophy and movement. He quickly became known for his grounded style of play, always staying close to the floor, demonstrating a unique fluidity and control that earned him admiration among his peers.

Through years of dedication and hard work, Trevor's skills flourished, and in recognition of his talent, devotion, and understanding of Capoeira, Mestre João Grande officially recognized him as Contra-Mestre.
