Capoeira Motumbo de Dandara

The foundations of our team have been formed by the merging of two schools, the Capoeira Dandára Academy which was founded in 1990 by Mestre Cláudio and Cordão de Ouro which was founded in 1967 by Mestre Suassuna and Mestre Brasília. In 2004 the Capoeira Dandára Academy joined Cordão de Ouro, creating the Dandára Cordão de Ouro team, which since 2006 is also in Greece. In June 2021 we separated from Cordão de Ouro and founded the Capoeira Motumbo de Dandara team, honoring the academy where we started. Our team was named after one of the three sons of Dandara.
